    I'll Always Be Here

    His words stabbed me
    My walls crumbled
In his arms I called home
    Don't tell me its over
I don't want to be the first to go
But I don't want to be the last to know
    When I leave...
Will I be a shadow on his wall?
    Am I anything at all?
    It may have been bumpy
    Huge potholes even-
But I'm no quitter, I don't give up
I have given him my heart and soul
I know I may give to much
And there is much that I'll sacrifice
But I have all the reasons
    Looking into his eyes
    Does he need me?
    Does he want me?
I just want him to know
    I'll always be here

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
