    I walk

    I walk for women
    Who walk for children
Who gather waters with no wells
Women who nourish babies who bellies all swell
    Whose wombs carry life
Life delivered and received by the Earth
    Birth
    In the grasslands
    Lifted and appraised
    I am amazed
    By these women
    who birth these children
I walk to develop the land
    To help gather the water
    That sustains their sons
    Their daughters
    I walk for women whose
    Women hood stands mutilated
Women whose skin keeps them segregated
    I walk for women
    For whom
    Water is their life line
But the line to the water is so long
    The line and life
    Is difficult to sustain
    When you’re walking to live
    To and fro
    Fro and to
To gather waters that won’t always flow
Water needed to allow the earth and the children to grow
I walk one step for women who have to walk twenty
    For women who have none
    When I have plenty
I walk for women who raise the children
Who don’t let them raise themselves
    Sun rises day after day
Blazing, burning and scorching the earth
Warming the path to the line
The line that leads to the water
    And still they walk
    Step after step
    Mile after mile
One foot in front of the other
    Child observes the gourds
Filled on the head of his mother
    I walk for them
    My sisters
    My brothers

thank you for that. encouragement is much needed be blessed

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
