    I REMEMBER LOVE, ONCE

once apon a time, there lived a man who fell in love with a very young and beatiful girl.
her auburn hair shined in the sun like gold from the robes of God. the most beautiful in the world.
thier love blossomed for five years, as they dated hand in hand. him, seven years her senior. her, his little angel. music in his head, like a marching band.
a child, foreteen years later, the loss of his hand. fussing and fighting over unpaid bills, and where she goes every night. love started dwindling. he no longer felt like he was a man.
one day she left him, the child at his side. moved in with another, one who could support a family. his heart broken, knowing at each close of the day, she would lay with the the other, and not him. he feel into a suicidle state. additions to pills. life seemed over for the poor old man. he had lost his way.
he gave up on God, because he would not speak to him. just to hear his voice, the love of the all being. but no voice came. no love came. no moments to cherish with God or a loved one. it was like he had hit a brick wall.
years lated, he still longs for God voice. but at the same time, he hears his sons instead. the voice of his new angel. at the age of fifteen, he takes care of his father and tells him that he loves him. he sees God in the eyes of his son, and knows he has a choice.
yes, i remember love, once. a long time ago.

thank you 90. but i'm afraid i need more than my son's love to cure my broken heart.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
