I PLACED MY SPLENDOR UPON YOU
I am your God.I have made a sworn statement,
And I entered a Covenant with you.
As I passed by,
I noticed you lying in your own blood;
And I said to you “Live. Live.”
I stopped and washed you off with water.
I rinsed off your blood in your affliction.
I then greased you with oil.
For protection, I covered you with my skirt.
I gave you ornaments.
I valued you.
I placed a nose ring in your nostrils;
Branding you as mine.
You belong to me and no other.
I proceeded to give you earrings for your ears,
I gave you also a necklace for your neck,
I gave you bracelets.
I clothed you in fine linen.
I gave you embroidered garments.
I gave you costly material of silk ,
And shoes made from seal’s skin.
I thought much of you,
Giving you special treatment.
I adorned and fed you well with fine honey.
I gave you gold and silver.
I gave you a crown for your head.
After all of this preparation,
You were fit for a Royal position.
You became pretty,
Nations spoke about your beauty.
This was because of my Splendor upon you,
I is very divine.
Your name was spreaded about the nations because of me.
You are a “stone crying out”.
The stone that the builders rejected.
You became the head corner stone.
Men will remember, that I do exist!
I thought much of you.
I gave you special treatment.
I adorned and fed you.
