Poem Commentary

This is a tribute to all those who have a "green thumb". The gardener collects his crops and shares his produce with all.He then plans what and where to put new plants for the next year.

GARDENING

GARDENING

A lover of the soil, his thumb
Is “green” he enjoys the
Smell of freshly cut grass and
The recently tilled soil .

He places seeds into the dark soil,
Which later become specks of green.
Then small plants one inch high,
With their fragile little stems.

He lovingly cares for his
Delicate and fragile plants;
Often singing a merry tune,
Waiting patiently as they spurt.

Then with the aid of the
May -June rains in spring; these
Tiny “fellows” grow a little more,
To the delight of the gardener.

Inspecting each row often,
He watches as new leaves grow.
Soon there’ll be fruits on stems.

Now that its harvest time,
The gardener collects his crops.
He shares his produce with all;
While planning what and where,
To put new plants next year.

Sounds like God planting us in His garden-good work.

Thank You hdmac. I always like to connect to nature. It sparks my energies. Man is capable to commune with his outer surroundings and become as "one" with his environment. The same God that said "Let there be.." did so for man and nature alike.

He did at on point, but now He gives us the energy and the creative minds to do our own.

Poetry is what is lost in translation.
