HOW TO BECOME A GREAT POET ?
Your article in Hello Student I did read,
How to become a poet in deed,
Carried away with this bright idea,
My pathway of thistles, I started to clear.
The clearing started in its first stage,
With the Editor’s advice on the first page,
It gave me an idea how creative to be,
To write my own poems, not that of Wordsworth or Shelly.
My mind is at its best, while I travel alone,
From Egmore my station to Porur my home,
I don’t need the comfort of a luxurious car,
To write my poems and reach out far.
An hour’s journey by a rickety bus,
Is enough to make of a poet a success,
‘Cause all I do is sit and blink,
And words flow out, before I think.
It started with your article in Hello Student dear,
And don’t you think it will end up here,
‘Cause the editor’s advice stands out clear,
To be creative and have a new idea.
So every time I sit to write,
I dream myself a great poet.
