HERO'S ALL
The two buildings came down,
imploding one by one.
The city looking grotesque,
in the setting sun.
The Nation all rallied,
on that first day.
Coming from far and near,
coming to work, coming to pray.
The Nation is now reeling,
seeing terrorism at it's worst.
But now all their attention,
must be directed towards the search.
For the missing injured,
and the dead.
An urgency known to all of them,
one of hope, prayer, love and dread.
Construction workers, Firemen,
Policemen, volunteers.
Displaying determination
compassion, sorrow,
And understandably, shedding tears.
Those that rallied at ground zero,
and those that died needlessly.
Will always be our Hero's,
from sea to shining sea.
