    A PIRATES VALENTINE

    Swashbuckling are they
    who travel the seas.
    Taking money and treasures
    to satisfy their needs.

    They are not the grinch
    of Christmas past.
    They are merely "Jolley" men
seeking true love from a "Lass"

    So from this rare breed
came a request that I say
Give your "True love" a kiss
    on this St. Valentines Day.

    Barrie Gallego 1-22-01 (c)

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
