    Heavens Tear

    Heavens' Tear

As the heavens fill with tears
    Moisture gathers all my fears
One by one, the tears do fall
Until the angels, hear my call
    Gazing awake into the sky
    Declare love’s memory I try
Sunshine has hidden its glorious rays
To admire someone special, I do pray
Someone to hold and see the light
Someone to rest by in the night
For whom I can go to in times of stress
For whom I can speak to as I digress
I pray that there is someone there for me
I pray that the heavens will bring them to thee
A single time I shed tears for my prayer
    As humidity cries, then disappears

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
