Uncertainty, insecurity, instability
Alone in a one man show
They never siad it would be so hard
And they never prepared us for the road ahead
A life of facts and figures and hopscotch in the playground
A laboratory of intelligence, cultured but not fed

What are they teaching? where are we headed?
Where's that guiding hand? Where's that food to be fed?
Our hearts beat our minds think, our bodies crave our souls to speak
So open the door and let us out
To talk with the passion our hearts are about

It's time to be free and be who we are
to be nurtured and guided to the home we desire
Let us be free to walk and to sing
To the rhythm we whisper under our wing

We need purpose, a reason to be
A home to rest, a heart to be seen
So reach out your hand to those that are lost
open your hearts and lead without cost
We need guidance in our uncertain world
Adults we are just but life is still tough
This is just the beginning of our winding road
on this path to happiness are many valleys below
Cast in shadows with unposted lanes
A light we all need, a wisdom to be gained
To prevent us from suffering the creatures of the dark
But instead a friend to walk in our hearts x
