    Gosh It's Dark In Here

    Original, Dark Poetry
I sit and read, it's early.
Death is the last thing on my mind,
I open my favorite poetry site
dark, morbid and evil is what I find.

tagged "Dark Poetry", I'm in shock
What evil has possessed poetic minds
while I slept with my mind in drydock.
Lighten up guys and girls - chill out!
The economy is bad, the government worse
lots of unemployment gives us the blues
but sun is coming out, every day is better
think happy thoughts, make happy news
    P.S. Just Kidding!

What? No murder? No angst about who was done wrong? That would be nice, I'm thinking!...............Good poem!

Thanks! I kinda like dark poetry but first thing in the morning it was mind numbing! LOL!

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
