    Going Home

You try to scream but no one hears
You try to cry but there’s no tears
You try to get up but there’s no motion
You look down and see the commotion
You wonder who is in need of help
    Oh my God
Is that blood from his scalp?
What can I do to lend a hand?
Wait a minute am I that man?
    When did this happen
    I was doing alright
Now I am losing the fight
All I need is one last dance
    Please one last chance
    To say my goodbyes
Then lord I’ll be ready to rise
    There is so much
    I haven’t done
    When your number
    Is called you cannot run
    Only thing to do now
    Is say my prayers
    Hope they fall on
    Forgiving ears
    Don’t worry
    I’ll see you again
    Hope they fall on
    Forgiving ears
    Don’t worry
    I’ll see you again
    Until then .....
    AMEN

The one thing none of us can escape is death, and when it comes, we can only hope we are ready to accept it with open arms and not fear it. A wonderful prayer. ~Pamela

That's why it's important to be ready when it's your time. Another good read.

Poetry is what gets lost in translation.
