Gloriously Me

I watch the birds in flight and feel the autumn colors

while a crisp, cool wind runs through my hair.

The brook still flows downstream before winter comes,

as the deer frolic in the woods not far away.

And all remind of why I came here today,

and why, like a child, I came out to play.

For it is in these moments that I feel most alive,

when my soul sings so free --

free to be gloriously me.

Yes, free to be gloriously me.
