    Forever

I’d still like to think that things will work out
I can’t seem to move on of that there is no doubt
For me that’s not how it’s supposed to go
To me our wedding wasn’t just for show

That was the start of together for life
In sickness and health, good times and strife
But when things got tough out the door you went
I’m pretty sure that’s not what forever meant

I thought forever was until we died
All I can say is I really tried
You made it look easy to turn and walk away
It wasn’t easy for me, I wanted you to stay

I thought I was the only one that knew what forever meant. Somehow the words changed? my feelings didn't, go figure. Thats how we learn to do the best we can with what we got..

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
