Excerpt From a Letter to Cousin Tom

Where have your adventures driven you as of late?
I hope they are interesting, scary, safe, truth seeking, and most importantly, are where you need to be. Our purpose on this planet does not keep us bound but spreads itself beyond so that we may become wiser, more spiritual. Lessons were never meant to be simple or what would be the sense in learning. I hope the purpose is met and the thirst of truth is quenched. I know this path I travel is headed where it should be - I am unaware as to where. Hardship makes us stronger. And strength in self, in family makes the mountain conquerable.
    Enjoy the clouds.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
