    Poem Commentary

    This poem signifies the struggles we all face in our lives at one point or another.  We are confronted with something, or someone,  so wonderful yet so terrifying we don't know how to feel about it, we are torn between happiness and complete fear.

    Entrapment

    Fortitude holds my empty soul

    Ravaging from me the light within

    Holding me there hopelessly entranced

    Enchanted by its beauty

    Paralyzing my will to move

    Breathlessly waiting for release

    Petrifaction overtaking my senses

    Wars raging between fight and flight

    Helpless pray I am to your will

    Repression bonding me in place

    I am yours to do your bidding

    I pray to be unharmed

    And powerless against you

    I bend to you as you will me to

    Your magnetism too strongly fascine

    No hope for flee or escape

    My imprisoned soul is yours forever

    Wow..., great poem. Very powerful meaning. To be honest, Im quite envious because I can relate to the feeling but cant express it as well as you do. Keep up the good work.
