    Drawing A Blank

The words seem to have gone, the ones I like to use
They describe my life so well, so do these words I choose

I draw blanks round every corner, come up short when day has past
Living in a house of kryptonite, I hope this does not last

Where has my inspiration gone, I feel like I'm trapped in a cage
To have my powers stripped away, just causes me this intense rage

Alone in this aggrivation, praying for a speck of light
I just want it to come back, even if its not tonight

How could it just go away, was it ever realy there
Why do we get teased with talent, I'm not sure I find that fair

Did I abuse it in some way, not say the words I needed to
Did I spend to much time lost, amongst these pages without truth

Or maybe I spoke words of reason, teaching deaf ears how to hear
And this is just a moment of silence............I'm welling up a tear

I'm sure that its still there, hiding just behind the wings
No way of knowing yet, we must see what the future brings

So here is where I'll set, with my pen in hand
Waiting for that moment, I'll shall seize and make a stand

You seem to have a primary focus in your writes, maybe something your working through.

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
