Do you really want the truth?

Poem Commentary

The truth will set you free. Sometimes you have to decide if you want to be set free.

Do you really want the truth?

You ask me a question.
Deny deny deny.
If you know the truth,
then why dont I?

Stop badgering me.
I dont want to tell.
I want to hide the truth,
Come Heaven or Hell.

Obviously,
you dont know what your digging for.
Do not ask me again,
your becoming a chore.

Secrets are meant to be kept.
You just want to know.
If you really cared about the truth,
you would let respect show.

If I give you an answer,
how do you know its true?
I could make up a story
and feed it to you.

Do you really want to know the truth?
I dont care if you do.
I am keeping it secret
from me and from you.
