    Dead and Gone

    I'm sitting here all alone,
my heart is a cold, broken stone.
everything has turned out so wrong,
i thought you wanted me too for so long.
was it just too hard to stay true?
i think of you no matter what i do.
when you dropped me in the dirt,
you leaving and not caring is what hurt.
this pain you created won't go away,
i wanted to curl up and die today.
you left a hole huge and gaping,
there is no luck of my escaping.
i'll take any pain but the pain you leave,
i'm tired of wiping my tears with this sleeve.
you've left me hopeless and alone,
my heart is still a cold, broken stone.
