    Darkest of Days

    Hear my cry
    I will not hide
    The dark in my eyes
    as dark as the skies
    Heart cold as ice
    Blood puerly poison
    Grimseeping through my veins
    Death consuming my core
Die a lonely death and live no more

Wow! You have an amazing way with words. Just out of curiosity did anything in the city inspire the imagery, you put into this poem? You paint a very vivid picture. Christina13

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
