    Broken Heart

The tears awake my sleeping heart
For my heart to faint like the fading paint
Love birds apart is very dangerous
The heart break results in asphyxia
Lost of affection and love in heart
For the tears to drain the joy
And the sorrows inject pain in my heart
To create a phase for the dying love
In the city, she decried me
The change in atmosphere to cause decrepit condition
Defrocking me in public like in church
No space for a hug and kisses
And from now she no more lights my lamp.

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
