Blood red lies and scarlet tears

Blood red lies and scarlet tears

Blood red lies
And scarlet tears
Silent steps
Of awakened fears
A tragic tale
we spin and weave
Afraid to live
afraid to leave.
Chances slip
Through clutching hands
Like dessert breeze
Through dessert sand
I dared to dream
So long ago
When it died
I do not know.
Left to linger
In farewell
A glimpse of darkness
My own hell
With blood red lies
And scarlet tears
Echoed tales
Of darkened fears.
I tread my life
With silent steps
Lament what’s past
And what is left
Give me dawn
It’s brilliant glow
So for a time
I might yet know
How to live
and truly love
Without regret
And without doubt.
Halfway over
Still much time
To find the reason
And the rhyme
Awaken chances
I dared not hope
Would come to be
Would yet be known.
Lay to rest
This tragic tale
Spun and woven
Without fail
In you I find
The wisdom sought
A thousand stars
I never caught.
And yet the twinkle
In your eyes
A truth you bare
And not deny
When two hearts meet
And souls entwine
The missing pieces
Are what we find.
Those blood red lies
and scarlet tears
be laid to rest
beside my fears.

this is a awsome note

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
