    I mourn this night

    I mourn this night,
    it ends too soon
    this magic night
    when love did bloom
    an embered chance
    not yet a flame
    when evening fleets
    dawn brings restrain.
    I mourn this night
    as starlights fade
    and goddess sun
    the sky reclaims
    when every dream
    bespoke romance
    I mourn this night
    our shadows danced.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
