Blind
Let me sit back and think...of a time I was blind
when nothing really mattered, and there was only trouble to find
I used sit on porch early morning till noon
And this was everyday, I had almost forgotten about school...
But where I'm from it's easier to get a gun than an education
And no matter how good your degree crack was the main occupation
So while others are in class, tryna figure out the map and the math
Our geography was, if you're gonna hustle on this corner-
Then you gotta give us half...
Now half of the pie ain't leave us much to buy-
Especially when you gotta divide that half between you and three other guys
But that's life on the street, at least that's how it was for me
Smoking weed by 12, gang banging at age 13...
I was thristy for the cake, and the o.g.'s made it worst-
Cuz I ain't care about a car, till I seen him inna porshe
I ain't care about the pain, till I seen how much it hurt
I ain't care about a judge, till I seen him in the court...
They say I'm so smart and I'm wastin my time
Get a real job, a nine to five, live a regular life
But schools are full of drugs guns that's where i learned the crime
And when I'd come to their offices, I'm told to just wait outside
Now there ain't no excuse, for the way I'm livin my life
And it's no clear reason, why I'm in love with the crime,
If you wanna show me sumthin better, by all means that's fine
But if you can't see why I do, I'm not the only one blind...Ez!!
