Baggage...

Baggage...

I will not hold my breathe
For my savior to arrive
For if that were the only way to live
Then I surely would die

You took my faith
like a thief in the night
Then tarnished my identity
what a beautiful sight

So cunning you are
to produce such great work
so belivable you words
now i'm lost and hurt

Once a completed soul
so proud so bold
Now an angered wench
from days of old

Forgiveness is not near
so don't bother to ask
I must forgive myself first
before this to can pass

I've reached the point of no returns
No lesson has been learned
just scars from the battle lost
from intuition I didn't desern

Once Happy to give love
love is now my enemy
You want to stick around
But you are not a friend of me

So I'm taking out the trash
Which is never to return
I'm cleaning out my closets
Just another lesson learned

baggage is always full of contradictions...that's why it complicates life, and that's what this poem is about...

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
