Has anyone seen my Trust...?
The last I remember is he held it in his hand
And when I asked for it back he let it go in the sand
I dug through the dirt hoping it I'd find
but turned up empty wish I had time to rewind
For if I would've known that he would be so careless
I would have guarded it with my life for it's so priceless
Once lost it's gone and rarely returns
Unless recaptured by a saint
this I've lived and now I've learned
So hard a lesson so harsh the punishment
to loose what I gave so free
He didn't even help me find it
So this is how I came to be
Once absorbed by life and it's simplicity
Now cold I guard what's left of me
I will build my wall and lock my heart with a key
Until my trust is returned to me...
