Angel's Cry...
She laid on the cloud,
dressed in a silken white gown,
her hair so golden…
Her wings fanned out wide,
she looked down to once green Earth,
blackened by humans…
Her heart clenched tight,
to see so much good destroyed,
to see so much hurt…
The buildings so high
they blocked the sun from the trees,
killing them slowly…
The long roads around,
with the polluting monsters
that travel on them…
Children who know nothing
of family, just of pain,
as they hold their guns…
And her cloud blackens,
the hurt and pain just too much,
as her eyes teared up…
A single droplet ran
down the perfect angel’s cheek,
falling gracefully…
From the harsh, black cloud,
through the smog-filled atmosphere,
it fell so far down…
Just as a girl walked,
looking around at the clouds,
saddened by the dark…
And it touched her face,
just below her eye and slid
down unperfect cheek.
