    And you call yourself what

    “And You Call Yourself What”

So I guess you made it now, chest round, hips curved, bottom round in all the right places, I guess this makes you a woman now! Don’t let the nigga fool you, you got a long way to go. You got a little sway in your walk and you have turned your first head but baby girl don’t be misled.

Now that you know that you have there attention are you sure it’s that kind of attention you want? Do you know what kind of attention this is, are you sure you can handle it?
You call yourself a woman baby please; you are working with baby fat and doo- doo. You want to be called a woman, welcome to our world. Tighten your thong this ain’t no game.

You see this ain’t no game it takes some experience to be woman, some mistakes lessons learned, knowledge passed on. Knowing yourself and being comfortable in you, that’s key. How can you call yourself anything if you don’t know you? If you are given you away for CD’s and happy meals baby please. If you have to give yourself away for anything, think again. When you learn how hard life is but have the courage and conviction to keep going then come talk to me. When you can loose sleep at night and get up the next day and do it again with a straight face maybe we can chat.

Sweet pea what he told you and what the mirror showed you doesn’t make you a woman. Knowledge mixed with a little wisdom and some trials are the makings of a woman. Humility, courage, self respect, dignity, and self preservation add to it too. Feel like you have it great. Combine all of this with grace, style, elegance, fear of God, the art of forgiveness, and the unconditional love of man, then and then can I welcome you into the world of being a lady. Until then find you define and refine you I’ll be waiting!

Powerful word for the younger generation of women. Its something that needs to be heard. I felt like you embody that knowledge that a season woman possesses and put it in a poem.

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.

    Emily Dickinson (1830-1886) American poet.
