"The Evolution of Us"
The Evolution of Us
Oh my, God this pain is like no other, can’t breath, I can’t see, there is no way I can survive this. 7 minutes later it passes away, and then here it comes all over again. I didn’t sign up for this. I don’t think I can take this, I have to throw the towel in. 3 minutes later, this is taking the wind out of me, somebody please! 2 minutes later, please make this be over I am too weak to go on and then ,
It was your first birth day you were so cute, then your first bike, a pocket full of lizards.
Now it’s you and your sassy little ways, what a cutie pie she is as you jumped every water puddle you saw. Then came you, busy as ever, I haven’t slowed down yet, luckily as I turn to my right I didn’t forget you, such a tiny little thing.
Years have passed and my how we have grown, a masters I received in the mist, off to serve our country you go, while I prepare my little debutant, now you have hit puberty, all the while I am holding onto you being a baby. We have grown, as we love and lived.
We have weathered, we have struggled, we have changed and we have improved. We have evolved and now I celebrate the evolution of us.
