    A Workin Poem

Why do the losers become the abuser
The abuse forcing them to be the victim and the accuser

As they repeatedly rebel becoming more and more unreachable
Their true senses are reduced and no longer reachable

Of course they do not want to proceed alone
And they wonder why their skin is never the right tone

    Yet many questions still remain
    The answers we must ordain
In order to relieve past pain, preventing our souls from becoming so vein

Just open that door to plant your feet upon that unknown floor
For you will learn more by releasing your intelligence and allowing it to soar
Release that lock, open your windows and just let it pour

For within yourself you shall find the meaning
To your life and your true being
Please appreciate the good and bad within anything

Appreciation is a motivation for tomorrow
Proves to be more enlightening than sorrow
This strength is something you cannot borrow

    It’s the enlightenment within
You shall earn the power and endure here in
While learning how to survive and win

    Part II

Release that grip and refrain from fleeing
For in that time you can find the mistake and the true meaning
Of why you are here to live and die as a human being

Life continues to be a complex dilemma
By calling on your to cooperate and rebuke the enigma
Notice there is a pattern that extends to a trilemma

    Minor situations you do perplex
Throwing the true meaning out of context
Focusing only on the big picture and what’s next

As you play life as a game
Continuously focusing on who is to blame
You inevitably replace humanities’ pride with harmful shame

    Blowing out of proportion
The actuality of satisfaction to the affects of abortion
Blurring our sense of right to wrong with no limitation

How then shall we learn to appreciate the truth?
Legitimacy of devotion , honesty, and loyalty has been lost to our youth
Our generation is the living proof

This world has aged us before we even had the chance to choose
To some it is now a game of win or lose
While others timelessly worry of who and how to accuse and amuse

    Many may find the freedom
    Of true intelligence and wisdom
    Through understanding society’s emotional kingdom

You maintain your own free will within this nation
Realizing you live in a world of your own creation
And yet you refuse to see the relation

So be it, the choice is yours to stand up without the recourse
The course of life is nature and its amazing force
Forget and carry on without the remorse

Words are the fountain from which wisdom emerges
Resourceful are sounds of each word as they reverberate and emotion surges
It is amazing what influences these words and how it encourages

    Experiences do not accentuate progression
Analytical thinking may leave you with the wrong impression
Sometimes it may even initiate the regression

Slow down, take a breath and allow it to take effect
Whether it may be good or bad it is better to reflect
The art of self-control is something most cannot ever perfect

It is all about time and how you use it
Slowing down and appreciating every bit
Not just abusing it whenever you see fit

Living in the fast lane until the day you die
Stop insisting that time passes you by
When you toss it away without so much as a hello or goodbye

    The benefits can be endless
If you are able to refrain from being too careless
Only then shall you see time in all of its fairness

As I see it we are individuals within one nation
Who are increasingly consumed by one another and each reputation
    Why succumb to this alternation?

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
