    A True Friend

A friend has your back even when it's against the wall

A friend is there to pick you up when you fall

A friend will give you the shirt off their back

A friend never pays attention to the things you lack

A friend always holds a hand out to you

A friend never judges you by the things said about you

A friend likes you for the friend you are inside

A friend loves you for the heart you can't hide

A friend through hardest of times stick together

A real friend is a true friend forever

I absolutely love what you have put into this piece of work! You are straight and to the point about what a friend should ALWAYS be and I love it! Great job my friend, keep up the great work! God Bless, Helen

This, in all of its simplicity, is the "new rule book" for friends to follow: basic, to the point, and wonderfully composed. Bravo!!

I love this poem Rendida. A very well thought out, nicely flowing piece of work. I love the message, too. I have always placed a high value on my friends. They are truly gifts from God. I can't imagine going throught life without any. But, like any worth having in life, you have to work at good friendships. Trust me, it's worth it in the longrun. One of lifes most rewarding investments. Wonderful poem. I'm sorry so many folks have missed it. I will certainly keep it for posterity. Afterall, what's a true poetic friend for.... Kevin

You got all this right, a good poem, and in life it's hard to find them now a days, :)

beautiful. i have very few true friends, but the ones i do have, i feel this same exact emotion towards them. great job on reflecting that point.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
