You Have No Idea

You Have No Idea

its these things you hide within you,
that allow you to continue,

everything that makes you different,
is as precious as each breath.

the very beating of your heart,
the every movement that you start,

be it steady or fast-pased,
its what makes you who you are.

how you talk, how you act
how you dress, they're all just facts

its whats flowing throught you blood
that you can never hide away

so many losses, so few gains
so little joy, so great the pains

the greatest thing you'll ever learn
is to take it all in stride

all the power, all the pride
everything you keep inside

will get you through most anything
all thats up to you is to believe

dont worry about the guy next door
or the chick on the seventh floor

its only you in this lifetime
that you should fret about

quit the dress-ups, and the make up
stop acting fake, baby, just wake up

love your self with no abondon
youre the only one worth longing for

take a walk, see the sky
just open up your pretty eyes

and know the joy of every day
as if it were the last

the time is come, that ship set sail
because even in a fairytale

there just has to be an ending
cause see, the end, it always comes

i write for what i feel
and i feel for what i write

its the only way i can ease my mind
and get some sleep at night

just know i love you all

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
