    stars

    cold as crystal

    shines like fire

    they line splendid dreams

    the fuel of desire

    they sit up above

    looking down on the earth,

    the day-rise fades them

just as dusk gives them birth

    many a man

look up so he they may guide

    wondering what they would do

    if those stars ever died

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.

    T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
