    You Don't Care

    I come home
    You’re not there
    I love you
    You don’t care
    I lift up
    You bring down
    I bring joy
    You bring frowns
    I want you
    You need me
    There is no us
    There can’t be we
    What can I do?
    What can I say?
    I want you
    You push me away
    You hurt me more
    Each day and night
    Don’t make me cry
    Don’t want to fight
    Need you around
    You’re never there
    Wish we could be
    But you don’t care

The killing truth is you don't love me any more. That reality hurts like hell. I feel and have felt it before I and I'm sure many others can relate. Thank you!

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
