Yesterday was wonderful
Yesterday was wonderful
Two familiar faces, two familiar voices
It was so wonderful
We crossed paths once again
We talked about where we had been
Yesterday was wonderful
We talked about our pain, we talked about our joys
We talked about our lives; you told me you had two
Little boys
Yesterday was wonderful
We heard each others voices, we heard each others cries
We had a connection, we entered each others lives
The next day was so wonderful
We had fallen in love
Love so strong and bold
To each we belonged
To love and to hold
The next days were so wonderful
So time had passed we grew and we grew
Then one day it was too good to be true
We had reached a fork in the road
We ultimately crashed
We reached the unknown we found what was stashed
The next days were drifting from wonderful
Now we come and we go, I cry here and there
And I long for the days that you really cared
Yesterday was so wonderful
It seems now I cry to often, for I still love you
And I hope and I pray that what was good, can again be true
But I cry much too often and I always feel blue
So I’ll cry one last time, as I say, Goodbye to you.
