Women of Power

Women of Power

Woman of Power, As are We
A Woman's heart, is an undeniable passion for love.
A man's neglect, is his last thread to hold.
A child's heart-full eyes, is every person's need.
A soul full of love, is a spirit within our means.
A callous act, will always portray a form of greed.
And, I as a woman, will always stand on both my feet.
I will not fret, a man's powerful scorn.
As an Angel stands next to me, with his sword drawn.
We will always be truthful, to those that we love.
For our God and his Angels, will watch out for us from his kingdom up above.
Once again, on a beautiful night or an ordinary day.
There will be someone there to care for, love us, and make us one day, sway.
I do not despair, on this new and invigorating day.
Come of the day of Heaven on earth, God is our savior and loves us in every way.
Rise all women, young and some of old.
We are powerful entities and yes, we are even bold.
Within our spirit shines the brights of lights.
We our mothers, sisters and lovers with powerful might.
A survivor to last even such words of hate.
A word that will never leave our mouths with such a sorrowful taste.
We live each day proud, as we walk and dance to our own song.
Knowing that he was the one who hurt us and was in the wrong.
Love ourselves and love our neighbors and enemies too.
Women of Power are we and our hearts are bigger and true.
Do not sadden yourself with things of yesterday or further past.
With our faith and spirit, we will always surpass.
I give you a prayer starting with an Our Father.
I will love you for always and this I will honor.
That will last you for eternity, that was passed on to us in a gracious manner.
With this I will end our encouraging banner.

I'm not sure whether this one is a sermon, or a theme for the "women's liberation movement" if there still is such a thing? lol!

By the way it was an endorsement for women of abuse to keep their heads heald high.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.

John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) Thirty-fifth President of the USA
