    Women

Women are a blessing, sent from up above,

often misunderstood, but gentle as a dove.

The finest in creation, the lord made no mistake,

when he created Adam, he said he needs a mate.

He gave him someone special, that brought joy in his life,

He no longer felt empty; Eve made him feel quite right.

As much as we are needed, though some can't understand,

that they can't live without us; we know God had a plan.

We are mothers to our children, and wives to our men,

God surely made no mistake, when he created them.

We should never be mistaken, as worthless in this land,

he made us for great reasons, let's pray we all understand

I am in total agreement with you on the points you touch on about women in this piece, but there remains many staunch reminders in real life, that there exists other types within the feminine persuasion who could not even remotely be described using your beautiful accolades... The same holds true for men, of course, but isn't it a strange irony in a way...??? Noone ever writes sonnets, or poetic verses generically praising the male gender - just for being here... Still, a good write...

Again, the Word of God is strong in your poetry. That's awesome! Keep sharing God's Word like you're doing. Nice one ;-)

Thank you, this is one of my favorite poems. We women are so misundertood, it breaks my heart to see women suffer so much.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
