    God's Creation

It began with the creation of heaven and earth.

That was the first awesome day of the earth's birth.

He created light and divided it with the night.

He divided the waters from above and below,

it must have been quite a spectacular show.

The first thing he created was grass, herbs and fruits.

Commanding beautiful flowers to come forth from its shoots.

He created the seasons, days and years, he's definitely a true pioneer.

He created the creatures that live under the sea.

He created all this for you and me. He created the animals

and every creeping thing, He created the birds and gave them wings.

At the grand finale, he created you and me.

Take a look for yourself and you will see what an awesome God He can be

By any name or acronym from the many faiths of the many denominations, the great entity we call God is something greater than anything, and everything we see or could even know about... I'm sure everyone has at some point has debated what God is, and what God's plan might have been for creating all this wonder around us in the first place, which includes us... Some have even equated it to stroking his own ego... And, no one has ever been face to face with the personality called God, yet we all hold onto our faith there is a God, simply because there's no other way to explain the infinite number of miracles we live within all around us; be them good, or bad... As for myself, I see God's face in a butterfly's wings, I hear his voice when a bluebird sings, I feel his touch in my lover's charms, and smell his scent on my mother's arms... I'm not sure what God tastes like, but the glorious miracle of chocolate might... And, that's enough for me... A good write....

Your an awesome writer, thanks for your comments on my work. I have a call to right poetry, never took a class other than teaching myself on line. I love to write about the creator. Again your response was inspiring.

I love that this poem is totally based on the Word of God. What a great way to "preach" the gospel and share God's greatness with others.

I love talking about God's creations, it's facinating to me. I thought I'd share that with others.

A very well crafted poem. It just flows from the beginning to the last word, amen. You should have this published. Thanks for sharing.

    love the poem. Nice work.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
