~ Witnessing a love, I shall Never forget~
I shall never forget-His voice was faint, like a whisper in the wind-
I could hear the pain struggleing from with in him-
Tears slid from my eyes as I tried to understand how she died-
Crowds gathering, the room was so loud,
On the couch in view of her small coffin sat a man frozen in silence-
as I made my way to comfort my friend I too became frozen in the silence and I could only sit silently and look on-
Silent tears spilled from my eyes as I watched such a strong man crumble inside, he sat sitting tall, his face frozen in disbelief, tears trickled non stop as he starred at pictures of her-
she was beautiful, small and joyful just as any baby should be, her photos eluminated a healthy bouncing baby girl smiling up at her daddy, gazing into his eyes knowing this man loved her and she was forever protected in his care-
This man once from a troubled past had now be set free,
this love had changed him into a new man filled with hope and love-
The photos caught glimpses of a strong man, gently embracing his beautiful baby girl, caressing her soft skin, kissing her gently on her head and whispering promises of a bright future in her trusting ears-
The love radiated from father to child and you could see his joy surronding them both as he held her so tenderly with all the love in the world,
This small child had changed a once broken man-
This small child had taught the broken hearted to love once again-
This small child had given meaning to life, showing him what unconditional love was and filling his life with meaning-
This small child was a gift from God-
We had prayed for this childs brith the entire 9 months him and I-
For awhile there it had been touch and go-
God brought forth a beautiful little girl named Katherine-
Such a blessing -
Now silence surronded him-
His eyes glassed over with pain-
Heartache so deep that no words can erase-
I shall never forget that day-
My close friend lost his child to sudden infant death syndrome-
