    Witches

So many of us have died
    Burned at the stake alive
    Persecuted for being evil
    But we are only different
We are believed to be evil
    But only very few are
    We live with the earth
    Not just on it
We believe in the law of three
We hold true to these eight words
‘An ye harm none, do as ye will
We heal, we care, we love, we warship,
    We are witches
    Blessed be.

A poignant piece, meremortal, and, at the same time, powerful. People fear what they don’t understand, and it’s fear, not the love of money, that is the true root of all evil. I like your direct style – Your case is well made.

Poetry comes nearer to vital truth than history.

Plato (BC 427-BC 347) Greek philosopher.
