Wishful Thinking

Wishful Thinking

If I could hold thee

In my arms

Kiss thee…tenderly,

Gaze into thy limpid pools,

Become but lost…in thee –

Such so would I…willingly

Now and always…evermore,

But such…be wishful thinking,

For I already know –

Noe where

In thine heart doth be,

Any place…at all….for me,

For though I love thee

From afar,

Thou know nae

Of me…at all –

And so I ponder might have beens,

Moments from the yesterwhens,

When I didst hold thee,

In my arms,

Kissed thee tenderly –

For know it

As it is I do,

That though my desire

For thee

Be true

Tis nae…but wishful thinking –

For thou know nae

Of how I feel,

Know nae…that I exist,

And so this love,

Felt from afar,

Of which I reminisce

Will only be

Within my dreams

And aye…my fantasies –

For though I love thee

Heart and soul

Twill be a love,

Thou whilt never know.
