    wings of joy

You sheltered me within wings of joy.
You taught me what it means to love.
You shared with me the gentleness of a touch.
You shared with me things I was not to know.
My hand quivers at the sight of yours.
My eyes fall within yours, as if they are home.
My heart becomes my breath as they become as one.
My soul sings words it new not before you.
Take and heal my quivering hands.
Look within my eyes so I can come home.
Listen to heart as it is, you that it beats for.
Take heart to your song, for it is, for you that it is song.

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

    Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
