    One mans dream

If it were not for that of a dream my thoughts would be in vain.
If it were not for my love my souls whispers would fall silent.
If it were not for you there would not be a dream, nor whispers.
If all this is no more then a illusion of a sleeping man.
Then speak not of a truth nor strip me not of what I see or feel.
For it is now all that makes me complete, until a new dream comes along.

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.
