Blood Of A Broken Heart

My drear lady who has concurred me and held me with out chains nor shackles. Since we me met the story has always been the same.
I gave to you my tears filled with saddens and of joy.
I gave to you my joy and placed it within your eyes.
I gave to you my dreams as they were your own.
I gave to you my heart and placed it within your hands.
Sadly the story never changed I still stand alone. You have replaced all that I have given tho changed..
My tears have returned as thistles that tear from within.
My joy is now hopelessness and can be seen within your empty eyes.
My dreams have shattered into nothingness.
My heart the last to return damaged and bleeding.
Tho all this has taken place. I ask of you to forgive me.
For a lone tear has become one with the blood of a broken heart.
By Jonathan Paul Germundson.

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
