    Winged Messenger

Winged messenger from above fly to my children bringing them my love.
Be with them now as I would be.
Giveth to them what should be given by me.
Protect them and guide them, stand right beside them.
Lend to them your warmth and company.
Be their shoulder to cry on, someone they can rely on.
Wipe away their tears and banish their fears.
Whisper into their innocent little ears.
Tell them that their Mommy loves them so.
Please make sure they always know.
Don't allow them knowledge of my pain.
Simply tell them that in my heart they remain.
Quickly now go to them as I am certain they could truly use a friend.
Lend to them all of your strength that in their time of need they might bend instead of break.
Winged messenger from above fly to my children now bringing to them all of my love.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
