    WHY WE FEAR LOVE?

    WHY WE FEAR LOVE?

    ALL THROUGHOUT OUR LIVES
WE ALL FEAR WHAT WE DO NOT KNOW
WE FEAR THINGS WE DO NOT UNDERSTAND
BUT IT SEEMS WHAT WE FEAR MOST IS LOVE
IT IS AS ELUSIVE AS A WILD DOVE

WE ARE TOO SCARED TO BELIEVE IT IS REAL
WE ARE TOO SCARED TO TRUST AND FEEL
WE ARE TOO SCARED OF THE HURT AND PAIN
THAT WE OFTEN FEEL AGAIN AND AGAIN

TILL THAT SPECIAL SOMONE COMES ALONG
AND THEY WIPE AWAY ALL THE WRONGS
    AND MAKE EVERYTHING FEEL RIGHT
    EVEN THROUGH THE DARKEST NIGHT
IT SHINES AS THE BRIGHTEST LIGHT

Oh my - that was wonderful. I wish I could write like that. Excellent job. I look forward to reading more of your work.

I once concluded that to know these emotions is nothing less than cruel.

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.
