I have been writing poetry since childhood. It seems to help me get my feelings out when there is no one to say it too. A lot of what I have written is about love but I have done some on death of loved ones and some really funny happy birthday ones also. I have been told for years to send my poems in to a website such as this but this is a first for me. I am animal rescuer along with my mom and we have a place in the country that we house all of our many pets. I have a 15 year old daughter that is very talented but a GREAT BIG hand full - lol. When she was in 4th grade she won a writing contest for a local paper and was in invited to a fancy luncheon where her essay was read aloud. We are both artist in some way or another. I love to draw - especially eyes. I hope that you get something out of the poems I post and go lightly on me - I'm new!!!!!
