When I shall see

When I shall see

There is a time when I shall see,
What wrong you have done to me,
To blame me for something I have not done,
I am grateful for I can forgive you one,
But to forget my heart will not do,
But I shall try to,
My days are up for me to cry,
And just let my eyes dry,
My heart's in pain, my mind's in blame,
Why should I live my life in shame,
I forgive you once maybe twice,
You'll likely rethink it thrice,
My heart will heal,
And I shall once again feel,
My life will begin,
Without a single sin,
Only in the eyes of my Lord,
As only he can give the word.

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
