'Web of Sighs, Web of Lies'
'Web of Sighs, Web of Lies'
With sweet words you spun a gossamer thread
Spellbound, I was captured and held
With elaborate lies, you wove your web
And a willing victim was I.
Words of desire, your elegant prose you spun
Of longing, and hope that you'd find
A perfect love with whom you'd walk life's path
Willing captive, I hoped it was I.
You continued your spell, a master deceiver
Conjured visions of hope within me
Your gossamer threads spun tighter still
For your love, I would gladly die.
Those threads, bound so tightly became as steel
Trapped in your web and under your spell
With your words you wrapped my heart in deceit
While your touch made me shiver and sigh.
Cocooned in your web, those threads of lies
Became the constant in which I believed
Till the day truth at last opened my eyes
And a captive to love, died I.
With sweet words you spun a gossamer thread
Spellbound, I was captured and held
With elaborate lies, you wove your web
And a willing victim was I.
Words of desire, your elegant prose you spun
Of longing, and hope that you'd find
A perfect love with whom you'd walk life's path
Willing captive, I hoped it was I.
You continued your spell, a master deceiver
Conjured visions of hope within me
Your gossamer threads spun tighter still
For your love, I would gladly die.
Those threads, bound so tightly became as steel
Trapped in your web and under your spell
With your words you wrapped my heart in deceit
While your touch made me shiver and sigh.
Cocooned in your web, those threads of lies
Became the constant in which I believed
Till the day truth at last opened my eyes
And a captive to love, died I.
