Richie's Gift - a poem for a special boy
This was written for a boy who suffers from LKS Epilepsy, and for his father, Rich.
Richie's Gift
He loves the twinkling lights and
-- scent of fresh-cut pine
He takes you on trips
-- through his imagination and mind
He speaks to you through eyes
-- so clear, they can see eternity
He holds in his heart, a light
-- a love for you, that all can see.
No words need be said, tho he cannot speak
-- with these gifts exchanged
No tears need be shed
-- but tears of love and joy
No explanations for his daily strife
-- so long as you are there
No reason given, for cares in so young a life
-- but the strongest love with all to share.
